Upcoming Film Adaptation of 'Mirzapur'
'Mirzapur' has established itself as a beloved web series in India, achieving cult status since its debut. Following the release of its third season, the creators have announced plans for a film adaptation. Notably, Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan are rumored to be joining the cast, reprising their roles from the series.
As reported by HTCity, details about the characters played by Jitendra and Ravi Kishan remain undisclosed. A source revealed, "Both actors participated in the mahurat puja on Thursday, marking the film's commencement. Their roles are being kept a secret to surprise fans."
"The cast is currently engaged in look tests and reading sessions, which will continue over the next few days. Jitendra and Ravi are also involved in the pre-production phase, with filming set to begin next month," the source added.
While the casting of Jitendra Kumar and Ravi Kishan has not been officially confirmed by the makers, the actors have yet to comment on the news.
Returning to the film are Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi, who portray Guddu Pandit and Kaleen Bhaiya, respectively. Additionally, Abhishek Banerjee, known for his role as Subodh (Compounder) in the first season, will also reprise his character. Fans can expect the return of the popular character Munna Bhaiya, played by Divyenndu, despite his demise in the second season.

'Mirzapur' centers on Akhandanand Tripathi, the mafia leader of Mirzapur, and his son Munna, who aspires to inherit his father's empire despite lacking the necessary qualities. The plot thickens as they encounter formidable new adversaries in the form of brothers Guddu and Bablu.
The first season featured a talented ensemble cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The second season introduced new faces such as Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Lilliput, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Anangsha Biswas, and Neha Sargam.
